Cooroy Queen Alexandra Lodge has a wonderful history in the local Cooroy & Eumundi townships, an amalgamation of several Lodges over the years. Cooroy Lodge was consecrated on the 4th of October 1911 whilst Queen Alexandra was consecrated at Eumundi on the 16th of December 1913.
Cooroy is located on the Northern end of the Sunshine Coast and much closer to the foreshore at Noosa than it is to the Blackall Range & the three M’s of Malaney, Montville & Mapleton and yet it has the nickname “The Heart of the Hinterland”.
Initially known as a timber town as early as 1863, Cooroy got its train station and post office the same year in 1891, in 1907 a town survey was conducted, by 1915 Cooroy had transformed from timber to dairy & the Cooroy Butter factory was opened and Freemasons were there, helping to make and shape the town.
